The Kewpie Easter Collection was the first of the "Holiday-themed" series of authentic Rose O'Neill Kewpie characters. Like other R. John Wright Kewpies, the Kewpies in the Easter collection were constructed of the finest all-wool felt which is completely molded and delicately hand-painted. Standing 6" tall, each is five-way jointed for poseability and include the trademark tiny blue Kewpie wings on the shoulders. These are the perfect 'cabinet-size' Kewpies!
The series included the adorable three "Easter Bonnet" Kewpies. A trio of cuties wearing extravagant bonnets made of the finest all-wool felt, pure silk, and organdy. The Blue Bonnet charmer has a plethora of felt flowers and tulle on her picturebook hat and she also wears a dainty pair of white gloves.
The Bonnet Kewpies were produced in 2002 in a limited edition of 250 pieces. Each came enclosed in her deluxe RJW presentation box along with the accompanying signed and numbered certificate of authenticity and the forms for owner registration.
